Casey House: Tenth Anniversary
Photos
On August 15, 2009, over 200 people gathered together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of
Casey House.
Named in honor of Mr. Eugene B. Casey and created through the generous support from the
Eugene B. Casey Foundation and many friends in the community, Casey House has served more
than 3,800 patients and their families since opening in August 1999. Casey House is the only
facility in Montgomery County designed and built exclusively for the care of hospice patients.
Patient families, former and current Montgomery Hospice staff, volunteers, board members and representatives of the medical, faith and political communities gathered together to share memories, stories and refreshments. Montgomery Hospice was grateful for the proclamations from Senator Ben Cardin, from Congressman Chris Van Hollen and from County Executive Ike Leggett.
